It was important to us to make sure that everyone benefits from the energy transition, and improving the lives of one group - EV drivers - should not come at the expense of everyone else. So we designed our on-street charging solution to leave no permanent street clutter so there is more streetspace available, as often as possible. Pavements are for people and not posts, so we like to not impact those going about their day, or night.
Our consortium, Subsurface Technology for Electric Pathways (STEP) is trialling Trojan Energy’s new on-street charging solution in London, supported by IUK and funded by OZEV.
150 chargepoints will be installed on the pavements of Camden and Brent for residents to use to charge their electric vehicles. Sign up to the trial or find out more if you live in either of the London Boroughs.
Tell us where you'd like a chargepoint and help us work with your local authority to install Trojan technology on your street. The more demand we can demonstrate to them, the more likely they will work with us.
